When is the new elementary school going to open?
The new elementary school off of Middle Road is scheduled to open in early 2023 with new boundaries going into effect in the fall of the 2023-24 school year.
Who is going to attend the new elementary school?
When the school opens in early 2023, students attending Walton Elementary School will move into the new building to finish out the school year. This boundary process will determine the attendance boundaries for the 2023-24 school year and beyond.
How will the boundaries for the new school be determined?
This process is dedicated to determining these boundaries. Preliminary options will be developed by Cooperative Strategies and PGCPS staff to generate feedback from the community. Feedback from the community will help to inform the recommendations that will be given to the School Board. The School Board has the final decision on the boundaries.
