Plan for Planning: This task involves introducing the process to the community. In order to create boundary options that are palatable to the community, community feedback is currently being requesting regarding the criteria that will be used as boundary planning guidelines throughout the process.
Background Data: Data pertaining to MVUSD will be reviewed and analyzed throughout the process. Datasets pertaining to this process will be available under the Resources page of this website once available.
Committee & Boundary Work-Sessions: An advisory committee, consisting mainly of parents and community members, will be utilized throughout this process in an advisory role. The committee is expected to remain objective throughout the process, and consider the needs of all students. This involves creating boundary scenarios. The feedback received from the Boundary Planning Criteria survey will be used to help inform boundary scenarios. Boundary scenarios will be available for community review and feedback early in February.
Community Engagement: There will be multiple opportunities for community members to provide feedback throughout the process: Boundary Planning Criteria Survey, Initial Boundary Options Community Meetings & Survey, and a Final Boundary Options Survey.
Recommendation: Once a recommendation is finalized, it will be presented to the Board of Education for discussion and action.
