Process

Demographic Studies: Enrollment Projections are currently being developed, and will be available to view later this fall.

Boundary Advisory Committee: An advisory committee, consisting mainly of parents and community members, will be utilized throughout this process in an advisory role. The committee is expected to remain objective throughout the process, and consider the needs of all students.

Data Review and Analysis: In order to create boundaries that balance utilizations across schools, data pertaining to JC Schools will be reviewed and analyzed by district staff, the consultant, and the boundary advisory committee. All datasets pertaining to this process will be available under the Resources page of this website once available.

Scenario Analysis: This involves creating attendance area scenarios. Attendance area scenarios will be available for community review and feedback mid-November.

Community Transparency: Along with keeping this website updated throughout this process, community meetings will also be held mid-November for community members to come and speak with district staff, the consultant, and committee members about the scenarios that are presented. During this time, an online survey will be available for community members to provide feedback. The feedback that is received during this time will be used to inform a final recommendation.

Board Discussion & Action: Once a recommendation is finalized, it will be presented to the Board of Education for discussion. Action will be taken on the recommendation at a subsequent Board meeting.
