Process & Timeline

Boundary Advisory Committee: An advisory committee, consisting of parents and community members in the impacted areas, will be utilized throughout this process in an advisory role. The committee is expected to remain objective throughout the process, and consider the needs of all students.

Data Review and Analysis: In order to create boundaries that balance utilizations across schools, data pertaining to D91 will be reviewed and analyzed by district staff, the consultant, and the boundary advisory committee. All datasets pertaining to this process will be available under the Resources page of this website once available.

Scenario Analysis: The boundary advisory committee will be creating the initial boundary scenarios, which will then be reviewed by the consultant and district staff (including transportation) to ensure feasibility. Initial boundary scenarios will be available for community review in early March.

Community Input & Transparency: Along with keeping this website updated throughout this process, the impacted communities will have the opportunity to provide feedback via an online survey on the initial boundary scenarios, to be released in early March. The feedback that is received during this time will be used to help the committee form a recommendation for each area. At the end of March, the recommendation will be presented to the Board, followed by another round of feedback. In-person community meetings will be held on March 29th for community members to gain a better understanding of the recommendation, and provide additional feedback. This feedback will be captured in a report, and given to the Board of Trustees to assist with their final vote.

Board Discussion & Action: Once a recommendation is finalized, it will be presented to the Board of Trustees for discussion. Action is expected to be taken at the meeting of the Board of Trustees on April 12th.
